Dr Cavalazzi is Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2005), and continued her research in Australia, USA, France and South Africa where she is now appointed as Adjunct Professor. Over these years, Dr Cavalazzi have conducted research in many different areas of geobiology and astrobiology, and she is now an experienced researcher in these research fields. She has wide experience in lab. activities (from sample processing to nano-scale analyses), and as geologist she had chance to be involved and organize several field campains in Africa, N- and S-America, Australia, Europe.
Dr Cavalazzi have been recently granted with an FP7-PEOPLE-2013-CIG with the project INACMa/Inorganic Nanoparticles in Archaean Carbonaceous Matter - a key to early life and palaeoenvironmental reconstructions.
